SUMMARY
Reporting to the 1st Shift Supervisor, the Cable & Harness Assembly Lead for 1st Shift works as part of the team responsible for assembling an entire product or component of a product. The Cell Lead may perform all tasks conducted by the team in the assembly process and will perform oversight of the assigned manufacturing cell for performance and quality measures. The Cell Lead may participate in the decision making impacting the work.
SUPERVISION
Cable & Harness Production team
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure production objectives and uninterrupted, efficient workflow in support of production schedules.
- Review and maintain cell matrix keys including - On Time Delivery - Job Variance – Cell Quality.
- Ensure employees in work area are following procedures and job rotation schedule.
- Support and implement process improvements as necessary, while working with area leaders and engineering to ensure that process changes are communicated and implemented in a timely fashion and in accordance with procedures.
- Occasional assembly of cable and harnesses.
- Adhere to and maintain workmanship standards set forth by Aved.
- Determine work assignments and procedures.
- Daily communication to team focused on weekly and monthly goals, real time process improvement, and in-process quality.
- Maintain an understanding of all tasks and processes on the production floor and assist other areas as needed.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & KEY COMPETENCIES
- Minimum 2 years as Leader of a Team in manufacturing Cable & Harness Assemblies or related experience in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Accuracy – Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Energetic – Ability to work at a sustained pace and produce quality work.
- Basic computer skills; general assembly knowledge and basic Cirrus testing.
- Accountable, dependable and trustworthy.
- Able to perform work accurately and thoroughly and the ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.
- Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information.
- Responsible- Ability to be held accountable and answerable for one’s conduct.
- Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks and adhere to fluctuating timelines.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

- Ability to be trained in house to a curriculum based on IPC-620 standards.
